CAROLINE OSELLA &
FILIPPO OSELLA
Caroline Osella & Filippo Osella
were both trained at the London School of Economics.
Filippo teaches at the School of Culture and Community
Studies, University of Sussex, and Caroline at the
Arts and Humanities Faculty, School of Oriental and
African Studies, London. They have carried out extended
fieldwork in Kerala and the Persian Gulf since 1989.
Their research interests include social mobility, migration,
agrarian relations, sexuality and spirit possession.
They are the co-authors of
Social Mobility in Kerala:
Modernity and Identity in Conflict.
With Radhika Chopra, they are co-editors of
South Asian Masculinities:
Context of Change, Sites of Continuity
(Women Unlimited, 2004)
