Bina Agarwal
is Professor of Economics, Institute of Economic
Growth, University of Delhi. She has written
extensively on poverty and inequality, rural development,
environmental issues and technological change. She is
the author of the highly acclaimed
A Field of One's Own: Gender and Land Rights in South Asia.
She is also the author of two monographs:
Gender and Legal Rights in Landed Property in
India
(Kali for Women, 1999) and
Gender and Command Over Property: An Economic Analysis
of South Asia
(Kali for Women, 1996).
