COOMARASWAMY
Radhika
Coomaraswamy is the Special Representative
for Children and Armed Conflict in the
United Nations and was earlier UN Special
Rapporteur on Violence Against Women. She
was formerly Director of the International
Centre for Ethnic Stdies, Colombo, and has
written extensively on gender and violence,
gender and nationalism and constitutional
law. She is the editor of
Peace Work: Women, Armed Conflict and
Negotiation
(Women Unlimited, 2004) and the author of a
forthcoming title on violence in Women
Unlimited's series,
Feminist Fine Print.
